Definitely someone who puts in the effort and makes a great product! Have one of the original ones when he first started out making these a few years ago and it still today is a great and wonderful knife! Haven’t even had to sharpen it yet. It comes along in my hunting pack on every hunt and hasn’t let me down yet. My others from big retailers I have to carry extra blades and usually change out once or twice when cleaning my animal. I bought this knife just shy of 3 years ago for a Christmas gift. It turned out amazing. We used it very frequently and took good care of it. Phil told me of his warranty work and I am here to say he stands by it! My handle started to delaminate and I mentioned it to Phil. He had me bring it to him and within a weeks time he had brought it up to current standards, replaced the handle with an upgraded handle and lazer engraved an image of my choice. This was at no charge and no questions asked.

I have done business with many companies in the past just to have them fight me tooth and nail for warranty work. Not Phil, he was quick to stand behind his work and I am very pleased with the quality of the product I got back. The knife cuts great, is sharp, and looks very nice! I will definitely go with his products in the future.

Gave him a good change with a knife for out in the woods he said it was his biggest so far by about 6 inches, he did a great job I really love it and can't wait to try it out, I'm very impressed in the speed and quality I got from him and plan on doing more business in the future. Great guy to work with very happy and impressed with his work and speedy delivery just in time for bear season. If you have any doubt about him trust me he does not disappoint.

I’ve had a $500 set of Ninja knives I’ve used the past 7 years; the one with a built-in sharpener on the block. I bought a single large all-purpose chef’s knife from Phil 4 months ago. Elsa’s Edge is a local knifemaker in Fromberg, MT. I have this model and a chef’s knife of his. They are amazing! Super slicy and hold an edge better than anything I have tried. He knows his stuff. I won’t touch any of our other knives. Our cutco kitchen knives went to goodwill. If you want an awesome gift for the hunter of chef in the family this is it!
