what are shipping costs/times?
Shipping is a flat rate of $20, it includes the shipping, tracking and full price insurance of the item. Items already made and in stock usually ship out within two business days. Items that are a custom order ship out as soon as they are completed. If you are local there is a pick up option instead of shipping.
Do you accept returns?
We do not accept returns on custom orders, that being said you are part of the process every step of the way. You pick your involvement in the process, weather you want to be apart of every step or not. You do however gets pictures of the product before it is “finalized”.
Do you have a warranty?
Yes, we have a lifetime warranty on our knives/blades. Make sure to get us half the product back and you will get a replacement.
Do you resharpen?
Yes, we offer lifetime resharpening. Just send us your knife and we will sharpen and get it back to you.
What is turn around time for a custom order?
If we have all the materials in stock for what you are wanting, right now it is about 2-3 weeks. If you are wanting material that we don’t stock, it will depend how long it takes to get that material. Please reach out email or text, we have more wood/handle materials in stock then what is pictured.
Do you ship internationally?
Please send an email and inquire about international shipping. Everything changes day to day with shipping and tariffs.
Knives/blades?
We do everything in house, steel is ordered from New Jersey steel. Forging and cutting is done by me. I hand forge my Damascus and personally cut/shape the steel. Nothing is laser-jetted, or sent out. I have my own heat treat oven and base my recipes on Dr. Larrin Thomas’ data sheets. My hardness tester is a Leco, which is university laboratory grade digital tester. Every blade gets tested following temper and engraved with alloy type and tested HRC.
handles?
We carry a variety of handle materials and colors in stock, but can order just about anything you want upon request. We stabilize and dye our wood in house and can accommodate your wants. If you have something sentimental that you would like to include in your handle we can try to work with you depending on material and size.
